La Fauconnie and its estate is a peaceful haven nestled between Bergerac and Périgueux, in the Dordogne region of France. The manor house, which dates back to the 18th century, was completely restored in 2011, and the combination of contemporary influences, the luxury of yesteryear and unspoilt natural surroundings provide the perfect setting for an unforgettable and relaxing experience with your friends or family.

Le Domaine de la Fauconnie is located in the area known as the Périgord Pourpre, or ʺpurpleʺ Périgord, close to renowned vineyards such as Monbazillac, Bélingard, and Les Verdots.

It is the perfect base for discovering the Dordogne: wander around the local markets, visit numerous châteaux and taste the regional produce.

The Périgord (the former name of the county which is now the French ʺdépartementʺ of the Dordogne, in the Aquitaine region), is divided into four areas, each represented by a different colour.

To the north, the green of the meadows and the light oak and chestnut forests give their colour to the Périgord Vert. Behind the name Périgord Blanc is the white limestone predominant in the centre-west of the region; dark oak and truffles provide the colour inspiration for the Périgord Noir and, finally, the Périgord Pourpre evokes the purple hue of the vine leaves in the autumn.

To give you an idea of our location: Angoulême and Limoges are just 2 hours drive away, Bordeaux 1h30, and Sarlat 1h20.
